The Green Revolution Has Arrived in Albuquerque

Although the green trend is developing slowly, awareness is growing and several high profile and award-winning commercial-type buildings that conform to green building standards have been constructed within the Greater Albuquerque area and Santa Fe within the past two to three years.
The developers of Mesa del Sol, describe the master-planned, mixed-use community in south Albuquerque in terms synonymous with green building. The partially complete yellow ocher Advent Solar building is built along Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards, the standards by which green building is measured.
The Jefferson Green building with the red triangular marker projecting from the front facade, is located near the Journal Center and was also built to green building specifications.
The red-roofed bulding with the distant view, also in the vicinity of the Journal Center is in the final stages of construction. It may or may not be built according to LEED standards, but has a winning design and location in the northeast Albuquerque.
