I would have liked to go back to the state fair, but today was the last day. There is always so much to see and do that one visit is never enough.
This year the highlight of my visit was viewing the art and craft section to see my friend's prize- winning quilt on display for all to see with its proud first-place blue ribbon. I am always impressed with the high quality of the entries and was very pleased that my friend's quilt was the best of the best.
Tnen it was on to our favorite food stalls, with pauses on the way to watch the exotic dancers and listen to the calming music of a small the Native American band. If only I could have eaten at every stall. That's why more than one visit is important. One can only eat and see so much in one visit.
I settled for a pullled barbecue pork sandwich with a long refreshing class of lemonade, and couldn't resist a soft pretzel. For dessert, I couldn't pass up the non-dairy chocolate and vanilla ice cream and the most decadent of all, a fried snicker candy bar.
